Gujarati saree draping style is known for its simplicity and uniqueness. It is very elegant and traditional style of saree draping. This style of draping is not only adopted in Gujarat but also in Rajasthan, Uttarpradesh, Madhyapradesh, Bihar. Most of the people knows it as "seedha pallu"or
"reverse style". It can be draped in any saree. But tradtional gujarati saree increases its beauty and authenticity.

Gujarat is popular for its unique handicraft. All traditional sarees of Gujarat are handmade. Bandhani, Tanchoi, Patola, Tie & Dye are the famous name of traditional gujarati sarees. These are admired not only in India but all over the world. In these sarees each
& every pattern or block is handmade. Mirror work and thread work done on these sarees make them more beautiful.
Draping style of Gujarati saree is very simple.

While draping this style, instead of opening the pleats to the left, pleats are made to open in right. And pallu is also taken to the back and brought over to the right shoulder. And then pallu is spread in front and left corner is tucked to the back.  It shows off the embroidered or richly decorated pallu in full.

It is suitable for all occasions, be it for casual wear or any special occasion.
